China Travel Guide for Business Travellers

This China travel guide is for the China business traveller and it's written by me, a real China business traveller.

This is why this China travel guide is more than your ordinary guide that just covers China from the eyes of a tourist. Perhaps I’ll add a section in the future to cover tourist attractions. After all, business travel to China is always much more enjoyable if you’re able to slip away for a day for a little sightseeing.

I’ve learned a lot travelling throughout China on business over the past years. Many of the lessons I’ve learned, I learned the hard way. In hindsight, I wish that when I started my business travels I had access to a resource that provided me with all the information I would need. I hope China Business Traveller can be that site for you. Some of the topics I’ll cover include:

So it’s time to get prepared because as a business traveller, someone is always expecting you to know more than you really do.

Business Mandarin Center

So you think you got what it takes to travel China on business and be able mingle with the locals? Not everyone is brave enough to tackle what some consider the toughest language to learn. But if you're serious about gaining the edge, then start now!

If you want to put your skills to the test, click on the play button to listen to a news article on China.

Did you catch all of that? Imagine how different your business meetings in China would be if you knew a little business Chinese.

Come visit China Business Traveller's 'Learn Chinese' center and start (or brush up) your language skills.

Informative Articles on China

I'm a curious guy by nature. And I like being able to participate in conversations about China (with all the long car rides in China you're bound to end up talking about everything). I found that not every topic fits nicely under a category so China Business Traveller has the 'Articles on China' section.

You'll find interesting articles and info on everything from Chinese socialism to useful negotiation tips.

You can even submit an article of your own here if you've got something you'd like to share.

10 Years of Travelling China

Over the years of travelling China, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned that business in China is run by skillful showmen. I’ve also learned that rules are made to be bent and outward appearance almost always seems to outweigh substance.

Experience has also taught me that success in China is awarded to those who outwit, outsmart, and outface their opponent.

That’s why I made this specialized China travel site. I want to be able to share with you the lessons I’ve learned as well as share other useful insights from other China business travellers. I want you to have an advantage when you travel to China.

I hope that by sharing real China travel experiences, useful information, and other tips your business travels to the "Middle Kingdom" will be more successful. From cultural no-no's to what goes on in negotiations you can consider me to be your free personal China business consultant.

I’ve been fortune to have received a lot of good advice from others and after 10 years of China travel, it’s time for me to pay it forward.

Have a safe and successful trip!
